The story of a son

Chapter 1
Letter to the father

Dear Father,

Today I no longer seek your approval, but your closeness.

Together with Mom, you are the envelope in which God placed me and with which he sent me into this world—so that I might become myself, but belong neither to you nor to myself; so that I might become the person who one day returns to God.

I know that you have loved me since I was a child.

You fed me and cared for me as best you could … more in the audio sample

Letter to you

Dear Reader, dear Friend,

When all paths lead you somewhere or nowhere, and an emptiness remains in your heart as immeasurable as the universe, you will discover that it can only be filled by the One who created you: God the Father.

Often, the path to the Heavenly Father begins precisely through an imperfect relationship with our earthly father, or even through his absence.

A father is never perfect. And a son often learns only late in life that many wounds were, in truth, life lessons. Do not pass on the evil you have received.

If you have a father you find difficult to understand or forgive, try first to see him as a person, not just a parent.

You might discover that behind his silence and his flaws lies the same longing to be loved.

Perhaps your father's wish is actually your own: that one day your children will write you a letter of gentleness.

About the author

Author
Daniel Drozd

info@danieldrozd.at

My name is Daniel Drozd.

I grew up in the village of Ruscova, Romania.

Besides my passion for writing, the most important roles in my life are those within my family. I am the husband of Ioana, the father of two blessings—Anna and Maya—and, last but not least, my parents' son.

Today's son is tomorrow's father. That's why we need God's intervention to heal hearts, build strong relationships, and raise up upright leaders for future generations.

From my experience as a son, I've learned that humiliation leaves deep scars, but encouragement has the power to transform how a person sees their life, their future, and their relationship with God.

It's the transformation from a boy who hides to a man who leads with responsibility.

My desire is that all people believe in Jesus Christ and come to the cross—the place where confessed sins are forgiven, faith becomes action, and broken hearts learn to beat again.
